Ceramic industry is currently facing one of the most important changes in its recent history. Digit-S has gone a step beyond, developing a new concept about what will be “Ceramics 4.0”, which connects, in an agile way, the needs of customers with the production processes. This allows the companies to create anytime and anywhere customized products thanks to digital technologies.
This new concept “Ceramics 4.0” is based on predicting the behavior of the production process so that the connected elements behave in the best way to obtain the desired result.
As a result of this new concept, Digit-S has developed KROME Suite, a software package to control the whole digital decoration process. It give us the control over the final result of the design, so when a product is developed, we do it thinking about the application of each part that will compose the final tile, from the glaze, to the inkjet decoration, and finally the protection used, so that we obtain the desired product, and also, depending on the interactions of the process, it is allowed to maintain the tone of the model over time.
